A student run group of driven artists of tomorrow have come together under the name of social justice and solidarity to present, The Black Lives Matter Concert: A Celebration of Black Movements, Music, and Culture. The concert is sponsored by Berklee College Of Music’s Office of the President and will pay tribute to the political and musical movements that have underscored the history of African people in America today.
These students have garnered the participation of over 50 student performers from across the globe, who have dedicated much of their artistry to social change. In the midst of a whirlwind of racial inequalities afflicting our country, these students, with cultural influences from Chicago to Cameroon will use music as their weapons on the front line in the battle for social justice. They are honored to take on the challenge.
