"Land Rush" Film Screening – Who Owns the World's Land?

On Thursday, October 17 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM (doors open at 5:45)
Oxfam America
226 Causeway St, 5th Floor
Boston, MA 02114

In honor of World Food Day, Oxfam Action Corps in Boston is hosting a Film Screening of "Land Rush" in the Why Poverty series. Join us for GROW inspired food and engaging discussion afterward with a panel of special guest speakers and experts in their field! Joining us will be Eli Cane, Producer of "Land Rush", and Irit Tamir,Senior Campaigns and Advocacy Advisor in the Private Sector Department at Oxfam America.

Right now a global rush for land is pushing small farmers off the land they rely on to feed their family and earn a living. What happens when the biggest food and beverage companies start looking for more land for the products? Who owns the world's land? Who stands up for the rights of indigenous people?

Come learn how you can make a tangible difference to make sure that everyone has a place at the table, in this generation and the next. We stand on Common Ground.

Event is FREE and open to the public.
