GIRL RISING, Film Screening and Reception

Join Women's Forum for a screening of Girl Rising, a "groundbreaking film which tells the story of nine extraordinary girls from nine countries written by nine celebrated writers and narrated by nine renowned actors. Girl Rising showcases the strength of the human spirit and the power of education to change the world." 

The film will be introduced by Katrina Sousounis, a junior high student who founded the first Girl Up club in Massachusetts (Acton). Girl Up is a UN Foundation initiative that strives to raise awareness and funds that support the world's hardest to reach adolescent girls. All proceeds from this event will be donated to Girl Up.
