Fem(s)ex Workshop Info Session August 19+ 21

Fem(s)ex is looking for Fall 2013 participants to join its female gender and sexuality workshop!
Who we are: Fem(s)ex is a community-based organization focused on exploring what it means to be female in the 21st century. Through The Fem(s)ex Workshop, we hope to build a space for women to share their stories, to engage in honest and open dialogue about topics that are often tabooed or silenced, and to explore and challenge the experiences, the ideals, and the externalized and internalized structures that have been defining gender and sexual identity for generations.
The Workshop: The Fem(s)ex Workshop is a peer facilitated 16 week workshop that uses peer-to-peer learning, readings, discussions, and self-exploration to engage women in an honest and open dialogue about female identity. We are looking for participants for our Fall season starting Sept 16th and continuing until Jan 24th.
We welcome female-assigned individuals of all races, nationalities, gender identities (including transgender FTM and MTF, genderqueer, pangender, intersex, transsexual, and cisgender women), sexual orientations (including straight, lesbian, gay, queer, bisexual, pansexual, and asexual), sexual experiences, sexual interests, political leanings, religious affiliations, age, income levels, and occupations. At this time, we unfortunately cannot accommodate cis-gendered men.
Come to one of our info sessions on either Monday, August 19 or Wednesday, August 21st, from 7-8 PM at the Cambridge Women's Center (46 Pleasant St, Cambridge, MA near the Central Square T stop) to find out more!
Topics Covered: Anatomy, Sex and Gender; Communication; Power and Privilege; Women’s Health; Contraception and STIs; Body Image; Reproductive Choices; Sexual Practices and Orientation; Masturbation, Relationships, Pleasure and Orgasm; Pornography, Erotica, and Sex Work; and Boundaries and Violations.
