Thursdays, 7:00 pm. Thanks to our fruitful partnerships with our neighbors, Haley House Bakery Café is proud to offer a rotating selection of arts programs. Thursday evenings at the Café are filled with music, poetry, storytelling, film screenings, open mic time, and more. The events kick off at 7, but be sure to come early to grab a delicious dinner and save the best seats! Here’s our great lineup:
Jazz By Any Means Necessary (1st Thursday of every month)
We kick off each month with the musical stylings of the Fulani Haynes Jazz Collaborative. The group plays classic jazz standards as well as original compositions, providing a night filled with music, creative intelligence, open minds, and delicious food.
Lifted Boston (2nd Thursday of every month)
Curated by Outside the Box Agency, Lifted Boston was born in 2006 to provide an performance outlet for Boston’s emerging talent. Lifted has hosted over 50 events within the community, and we will continue to strive to keep Boston LIFTED. Lifted has featured musicians, poets, storytellers, film screenings, and more.

Art Is Life Itself! (3rd Thursday of every month)
Hosted by Nina LaNegra, Art Is Life Itself! offers evenings filled with music, readings, film screenings, and open-mic time. Bring your friends and come early for a delicious dinner and the best seats!

Lyricist’s Lounge (4th Thursday of every month)
Our friends at Boston Day and Evening Academy host the monthly Lyricist’s Lounge poetry slam! This all-ages slam gives students a chance to showcase their poetry – poets from all local high schools are invited to join in! Evenings start with an open mic and a featured performer before finishing up with a slam.

Stories Celebrating Life (5th Thursday of the month – March & June 2016)
Storytellers Sumner and Linda McClain share stories about everyday experiences that celebrate life. The McClains also feature both a youth and senior storyteller to explore stories that bridge generational gaps. The audience is also invited to share their short stories. Stories Celebrating Life provides a fun night for all ages.
