Danger Awesome is a 3D printing studio located in Central Square of Cambridge, MA. In June of 2015 D!A and Mission Gallery are partnering to curate a show of art made from the 'scrap' and negative production material from their commercial printing studio. 'Recreate' is extremely unique show because the main materials for work will be provided for free and the task for interested artists is to bring these 'scrap's into a new form of artistic life.
We are open to accept many different project proposals and creations, the only requirement is that the large majority of an art piece must be made from the D!A material.
The materials will be available for pick up weekly on Saturdays throughout the month of May. By June 1st all interested contributors must send a picture of their work in progress and/or a project description in order to be considered in the final show. We are excited to announce this collaboration and even more excited to see how prospective artist recreate the materials!
