Volunteer with Sitters Without Borders

Sitters Without Borders is looking for volunteer babysitters!  (Just in time for the new semester!) 

We are aimed to help low-income mothers who are trying to graduate college, by watching their child for short sessions of 4 hours a week. This is a volunteer run organization composed of altruistic and enthusiastic Bostonians!

Whether your experience is playing with your little nephew, or if you have an extensive resume with children, we will find a match for you which fits your interest and level of experience! (Sometimes you only need to be able to answer questions such as "Why is the sky blue?" or manage cookie-intake.)

Commitment can be as short-term or long-term as preferred.

This may interest those who are:

• interested in contributing to their commu nity
• interested in contributing time to help a family who is trying to make ends meet
• interested in exposing yourself to an environment that may help you develop and grow in your field (psychology/nursing/child development/etc.)
• interested in enabling someone to go to college classes and increasing graduation rates for parents
• looking to fulfill community service hours for a course or a degree
• ....or if you simply understand the amount of time and attention college (or a child!) requires
