ictory Programs' Boston Living Center has the following volunteer opportunities open:
Coat Check - We are also looking for a volunteer to work with our reception staff to check members and visitors coats and bags as well as assist the reception staff with duties as needed. This is a great volunteer opportunity because you get to be one of the first and last smiling faces our members see during their visit to the BLC. The shift is from 11:30am - 2:00pm on Tuesdays - Fridays. We welcome volunteers who can commit a least one shift weekly.
Cyberspace Assistant – We are looking for volunteers to answer computer questions and host computer workshops. Basic knowledge of MS applications is required.
Meals Program Volunteers - We are looking for volunteers to assist with our Meal Programs. Lunch on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday from 9:30am - 2:30pm. We also have openings to help with Meal Prep on Mondays from9am - 12pm or 10am - 1pm If you would like to be added to our "On Call" rotation, this is also an option.
Special Event – We are looking for volunteers to assist with our education and prevention information table at Boston PRIDE. Volunteers must be comfortable talking about sexual health. This is a one time volunteer opportunity.
Groups - We are looking for groups to volunteer to serve lunch Tuesday - Friday from 9:30am - 2:30pm. This would be a perfect way for a class, an organization, a dorm or team to volunteer together.
Volunteers must be a least 18 years or older, able to pass a CORI (Criminal Offense Record Information) and commit to volunteering for a least 3 months. For more information please contact me, Tammy Blocker at tblocker@vpi.org or 617-236-1012 ext. 227.
