Volunteer Position Description:
Do you have a love of books? A passion for helping children? Are you computer savvy or a quick learner? Do you like arts and crafts projects?
If you answered yes to any of the above…
Come out for a fun volunteer night with Raising A Reader MA and meet new people, learn a new useful computer database, and create some crafts for children and families in the community!
About Raising A Reader MA:
Raising A Reader MA is an early literacy program that serves over 10,000 children and families across Massachusetts. We focus on engaging parents in a routine of daily book sharing with their children from birth to age five, fostering healthy brain development, parent-child bonding, and the early literacy skills essential for school success.
We are launching a new volunteer program to help the organization improve our data collection and evaluation techniques, as well as help prepare for upcoming events in our partner communities (Brockton, Chelsea, Everett, Lawrence, Lowell, Malden, Revere, and Springfield). Volunteers will gather monthly and work on projects that will vary from data entry, to office support, to arts and crafts projects.
