Volunteers Needed June 7

Hyde Square Task Force Annual Neighborhood 5K Run/Walk

When: Saturday, June 7th, Volunteer time is 7:45-12:30pm
Where: Blessed Sacrament Church in Jamaica Plain, 361 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain

Complimentary t-shirt and BBQ lunch provided for every volunteer!

We are currently seeking passionate team-players to help us on the day of our 3rd Annual Neighborhood 5K Run/Walk, to be held on Saturday June 7th, in the Hyde/Jackson Square community of Jamaica Plain. The 5K will be led by the Hyde Square Task Force Rookie Runners, ninth graders from the Boston Public Schools who have been running together for the past year.

As a member of the 5K Event Crew, you will support the HSTF staff with day-of logistics and Course Operations, including directing the runners along their route through the heart of the Hyde/Jackson Square neighborhood, keeping order at key intersections and street crossings, and passing out water to ensure runners’ hydration during the race!

After the race, all Event Crew members are welcome to join the Finish Line Festival. The Festival includes a complimentary BBQ lunch by Acorn Kitchens, live music, and dancing.

This is a opportunity to spread enthusiasm, meet new people, and help make our community a safer, healthier place! It will also be a chance to get to know the Rookie Runners! All funds raised will support developing youth skills and creating a safe, healthy, and vibrant urban community.
