The only thing better than a day at MASS MoCA is a FREE day at MASS
MoCA! There will be activities, tours, performances, and more for
friends of all ages to enjoy! Cap it all off with a Psychedelic Latin
Dance Party with Chicha Libre at 8 PM.
MASS MoCA welcomes new and old friends to visit the galleries free of
charge on Saturday, February 9, 2013, from 11 AM to 8 PM at the
museum's annual FREE Day. In addition to complimentary gallery
admission, MASS MoCA offers an exciting day jam-packed with activities,
tours, and performances - in the past, this has included an
audience-included danced flash mob, DJ lessons, music performances in
the giant freight elevator, a mermaid costume parade, carrot
cake-tasting, and art activities inside the galleries inspired by the
work on display.
This year, we're excited to include the exciting dance experience,
Gaga/people classes, taught by dancers in Batsheva Ensemble or Batsheva
Dance Company. Connect to your body and imagination, increase your
physical awareness, improve your flexibility and stamina, and experience
the pleasure of movement in an accepting atmosphere. Participants must
be 16 years or older, wear comfy clothes, and be prepared to dance
barefoot. No previous movement experience is necessary. Bring a bottle
of water and towel.

visitors to give us a try, welcoming back old friends, and thanking our
