One by one, each and every week since February of 2011, our film staff writer Kris Jenson has reviewed another movie on the American Film Institute’s 100 Years...100 Movies on digboston.com. We’ll reach the end of the list in January, so what better way to celebrate the end of such an insane, multi-year project with the greatest hubristic cautionary tale of them all, and the AFI’s #1 film, CITIZEN KANE?
But this is no ordinary screening. We’re turning the Rosebud into a scene straight out of the 1940s. H...ave a gas while sipping on a Moscow Mule, kick back to live music from Ben Shaw & The Loose Ends Quartet, enjoy the supper club atmosphere, flip your wig at the period-appropriate dress of the staff and patrons, and show off your own snazziest duds with moxie (finally, a legitimate use for that fedora!).
