Iron Furnace restaurant celebrates downtown Quincy's rapid re-development with Greater Boston’s first spray paint block party. The party will take place outdoors on Ross Way, immediately behind the restaurant (1495 Hancock St.)

The Iron Furnace Concrete Canvas Block Party welcomes local artists who will spray paint murals along Ross Parking Garage that pay homage to the City of Presidents. The structure is slated for demolition later this month to make way for future development.

Family-friendly outdoor event with food, beer (21+ only), DJ and live music. Festive tacos and creative sliders from Iron Furnace chef J.J. Lundrigan. Grilled burgers and hot dogs, too.

Children can enjoy soft drinks, juice and water, and entertainment activities. Visitors can participate in an indoor-outdoor “paint nite” party.

A panel of celebrity judges will pick the winning mural; while all guests can vote for the “People’s Choice” award. The murals will later be moved and displayed at locations around Quincy.

The Iron Furnace Concrete Canvas Block Party is free and open to the public, with cash for food and beverages.
