The exhibit, "Nowhere To Call Home" takes its name from a film by new director, Jocelyn Ford. A rare glimpse into the world of a Tibetan farmer named Zanta, the documentary explores the complex darkness she faces in patriarchal village life and ethnic discrimination in the city as she seeks a better future for her son. After fleeing to Beijing, Zanta becomes a street vendor and it is like this that she and Jocelyn meet.

Their chance encounter sparked mutual artistic explorations - Zanta in original jewelry designs and Jocelyn in documentary film.

In addition to showcasing Zanta's jewelry collections alongside Jocelyn's documentary work, this exhibit builds upon the titular film in two parts: Part I examines the relationship between these two women, who opened each other's world geographically and creatively. Part II explores broader social issues in Tibet and China faced by women - like Zanta - caught between insular village and urban discriminations.

Both Jocelyn and Zanta are based in China.
