Indie rock sensation Fitz and the Tantrums will headline the 23rd annual Radio 92.9 EarthFest, on May 21, 2016 at the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation’s Hatch Memorial Shell in Boston. This will be Fitz and the Tantrums only Boston appearance this summer and comes just prior to the release of their new album, which drops on June 10. Presented by Whole Foods Market, the family-friendly festival will showcase national and local music acts, environmentally friendly products and local non-profit environmental organizations.

Joining Fitz and the Tantrums on the Radio 92.9 EarthFest stage will be The Strumbellas, a six-piece, Juno Award-winning band from Ontario, Canada. Often described as alternative country/indie rock, the band also just released their latest album Hope. Rochester, New York-based Joywave will also bring their indie-pop sound to Radio 92.9 Earthfest, joining the lineup fresh off their Coachella debut. Finally, the line-up will be rounded out by the winner of the local band contest who will have the opportunity to perform at 25-minute set as the opener of the 23rd annual Radio 92.9 EarthFest on May 21, 2016

Radio 92.9 EarthFest has always offered festival goers an opportunity to learn how they can make an environmental difference. Once again this year, the festival will feature exhibits and environmental displays, staffed by sponsors and non-profit environmental organizations from New England. Each exhibitor is focused on raising awareness and offering educational information about different environmental issues facing the planet.
