Africa. From safaris to rugged overland trips, the continent has a lot of connotations for travelers, from beginner to expert. If you're nervous about pulling out the stops and traveling to Africa, join HI-Boston for a special, comprehensive workshop on how you can solo backpack through eastern and southern Africa. Our presenter, HI-Boston's own Paul Kuhne, traveled through Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, and South Africa earlier this year, with pit stops in Botswana and Zimbabwe, over the course of seven weeks. He'll dispel myths and misconceptions about African travel, and provide practiced tips and tricks to ensure a safe and fun journey. From safety to budgeting, Paul will walk you through his own process of planning a solo trip, and show you why you should keep Africa in your future travel plans.
As part of HI-Boston's travel workshop program, attendees will be able to share their interests, travel challenges and potential itineraries with our workshop presenter before the workshop takes place. Upon registration, join the online forum will get you in the traveling mindset before you even walk through the doors. Paul will share his insights, ask question prompts and help tailor the workshop just for you.
Light appetizers and refreshments will be provided.
