Bringing Our Neighbors Home: Taking Action to End Homelessness

Join us on May 15 as Social Action Massachusetts (SAM), a program of the Massachusetts Housing and Shelter Alliance, partners with The Crossing at The Cathedral Church of St. Paul to host an engaging discussion about how diverse faith-based and community groups can take action to end homelessness.

Event Details:
Thursday, May 15, 2014, 7:40 pm to 8:45 pm
The Cathedral Church of St. Paul
138 Tremont St, Boston, MA 02111

Homelessness is a housing crisis that affects thousands of poor working people and those with disabilities, mental illness and addiction who cannot afford a place to live. The discussion will explore how faith-based and community groups can put their values into action and effectively work to end homelessness. Panelists include representatives from HomeStart<http://homestart.org/>, Church of the Covenant<http://www.cotcbos.org/> in Boston, and the Massachusetts Housing and Shelter Alliance<http://www.mhsa.net/>. The panel will also feature a formerly homeless individual who will share his firsthand perspective of homeless and the importance of housing.

RSVP by May 14 to Sarah Samimi at ssamimi@mhsa.net<mailto:ssamimi@mhsa.net>.
