Remembering Rosa Feb12

"Remembering Rosa" Event

Tuesday, February 12, 2013 - 1:30pm
Massachusetts Statehouse, Nurses Hall
Boston, MA
Remembering Rosa
To celebrate the 100th birthday of Rosa Parks, Community Labor United's Public Transit-Public Good campaign will honor Black women across our Commonwealth who exemplify the courage and community spirit of Rosa Parks.
Rosa Parks said "I would like to be known as a person who is concerned about freedom and equality and justice and prosperity for all people." By refusing to give up her seat on a bus she was part of one of the most historic equal rights campaign in U.S. history, the Montgomery bus boycott.  She understood fighting for transit justice is fighting for social justice

To RSVP connect with Diana from Community Labor United by calling 617-723-2639
