The Let's Flip it campaign is an opportunity for youth to step up & directly organize to decrease violence in Boston (and beyond). Let's Flip it aims to shift social practices directly, using a horizontal approach. It comes from youth believing they can change each other, and in so doing, flip the long-standing culture of block vs. block violence in our city.

General Information

Let's Flip it is a youth & community-driven campaign anchored by the Design Studio for Social Intervention, an organization which has a long history of grassroots youth & peace-oriented work & whose mission is "Changing how social justice is imagined, developed and deployed."

Since its start in 2010, Let's Flip it has held several open events & conversations that create fun & safe spaces for young people to hang out & talk about what they want to flip - and how they can! To expand the number of young people who are participating in this campaign & these conversations, youth involved in LFi have circulated tens of thousands of buttons, stickers, postcards, fitteds & snapbacks, & t-shirts, all representing the campaign & the desire that young people have to increase safety & peace for themselves and their peers.

In addition to countless individual young people, Let's Flip it is carried forward by several local youth organizing & youth development camps.
