Global Mvt Against Domestic Violence Feb14

One in Three Women will experience violence in their lifetimes.  That’s One Billion Women living on the planet today.
 Boston GLOW, Mass NOW and SquashBusters are joining together to say “Enough! The violence ends now!”
Join us Feb 14th for the 1st ever ONE BILLION RISING Event!
One Billion Rising is a Global Movement, aiming to gather One Billion people coming together to dance, strike and rise to share your voice that the violence against women needs to end!
And we need you!
Who:  All people – any gender, any age any background are invited.  Bring your friends, loved ones and the stranger on the T.
What: Dancing for awareness!  We will also create a short film using Eve Ensler’s poem, I’m Rising.  We’re looking for 130 people to participate by holding a line of the poem (supplies will  be provided, we just need you!)  Then we will dance and celebrate!
Where: Copley Square
When:  Valentine’s Day. V-Day. February 14th. We will gather at 5:15 and rise until 6:30.
