One Brick Boston/Slumbrew Jan15

Local craft brewer Slumbrew (Somerville Brewing Company) has named One Brick Boston as one of their two Official Charities of 2013!

And we’d like to invite you to join us as the first in our new collaborative series of monthly social events at the Kinsale on January 15^th, 5:30-7:30 PM. There will be FREE appetizers and raffles (like hats, t-shirts, and glasses) for Slumbrew swag plus Slumbrew will be on hand to talk beer. Come out to learn about One Brick Boston and our new partnership, and to meet members of the both the One Brick team and the folks Slumbrew. Click here for more details and to RSVP.

We believe that this will help us to grow and to provide our volunteers with more opportunities and our nonprofits will more volunteer power. Through this collaboration we will have the opportunity to connect with more nonprofits, local businesses such as restaurants and bars, and we will introduce One Brick Boston to new volunteers. That ultimately means that our volunteers will see not only more socials but more fun socials, new and different volunteer events, and find more ways to get involved with our community. And in turn, we’ll be able to provide our nonprofits will more volunteers, more frequently.

One of the ways One Brick Boston will be collaborating with Slumbrew is through the above mentioned new series of monthly social events at the Kinsale. Each month on the third Tuesday, members of the One Brick Boston executive team and representatives from Slumbrew (Slumbassadors) will be at Kinsale from 5:30-7:30 PM to chat with you about anything from volunteering to beer (and anything in between) and to introduce you to other volunteers.

Other things we’re looking forward to include some tasting events (like the one pictured here), new and interesting social venues, more swag, and a number of other new and exciting things.

Slumbrew are small batch craft brewers from Somerville. With 9 beers on the market, their focus is on creating locally-sourced, ingredient driven, innovative beers. While they conduct their business and recipe formulation in Somerville, they currently brew and cellar their beers at Mercury Brewing Company in Ipswich, MA.
