Martin Luther King, Jr. Day 2013 – Make It a Day ON, Not a Day OFF
Through
the support of the Volunteer Generation Fund, the Massachusetts Service
Alliance is sponsoring 10 organizations across the Commonwealth to help
generate meaningful volunteer opportunities for individuals to dedicate
their time and honor the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Day of
Service. These projects will include but are not limited to trail
maintenance, invasive species removal, food drives, community art and
beautification projects, the creation of scarves and baby blankets for
transitional housing, family shelter repair projects, and weatherization
projects for low income housing. The MLK Day of Service empowers
individuals to serve their neighbors and strive to achieve Dr. King’s
vision of a beloved community.
