Men Against Domestic Violence

A night of Male Awareness Against Domestic Violence
Featuring: Actor - Chad Coleman from AMC's The Walking Dead & HBO Series, The Wire

The White Ribbon Campaign began as a way to urge men to speak out against violence against women and was created by a handful of Canadian men in 1991 on the second anniversary of one man’s massacre of 14 women in Montreal. Visit http://whiteribbonday.janedoe.org/ for more information on the state and national White Ribbon Campaigns.
Gala serves as a way to continue to educate men on how they can be part of the solution in ending the violence against women as well as raise funds to support local shelters.
That vision in mind that we hope you are able to come out in your numbers (men and women) to support this public fundraiser awareness front.
Some of the proceeds from the night will benefit Casa Myrna which provides Victim Services for battered women who have fled abusive situations, offers them emergency shelter and runs the statewide Domestic Violence Hotline (SAFELINK).
