    RULES & CONTEST INFO:

    The battle is judged by the MassCann/NORML speakers that will be at each show.

    Each band will be judged upon a scale of 0-4 in the categories of:

    Musical Ability- how well an act plays their instruments and plays together
    Song writing- the originality, creativeness and dynamics displayed in a band's songs
    Crowd interaction/stage presence- an act's ability to entertain a crowd vocally and physically
    Originality- an acts ability to stand out as different yet good amongst the competitors

    There will also be a CROWD VOTE and ONLINE VOTE that will both be worth one full point added onto a band's final score, which is the aggregate of the band's score in the 4 categories).

    CROWD VOTE will happen throughout the whole show
    ONLINE VOTE will start 1 week before each show at www.UNregularRadio.com.

    There will be 2 winners from each region (North Shore, Boston, South Shore & Western Mass) and 2 wild card bands from the entire competition selected by the MassCann board. The finals will be judged in similar fashion on September 14th at The Middle East Downstairs.

    The grand prize is a slot on the main stage at the 2012 Boston Freedom Rally.
